Vršič (1611 m) – Mala Mojstrovka (2333 m) – Velika Mojstrovka (2366 m) – Vršič (1611 m)
From the parking area at Vršič, head toward a small hut where souvenirs are sold on warmer days. From there, move to the western side of the road and prepare for the ascent with ski touring equipment.
The first skiers usually set a clear track, which is easy to follow. Before reaching the scree slope visible in summer, be cautious not to follow tracks leading into gullies (such as Butinarjeva or Župančičeva). Instead, continue southward towards increasingly steep terrain. Ascend through the notch in Grebenec. At the top, continue right along an exposed ridge, which, under certain conditions, is best tackled without skis.
Next, traverse into the small valley between the two Mojstrovka peaks. Head southwest and begin the ascent to Mala Mojstrovka (2333 m). From the summit, Velika Mojstrovka (2336 m) is already clearly visible. Make a short descent in its direction, traverse below the peak, and ascend from the southwest.
From the summit of Velika Mojstrovka, walk along the ridge southward to find a suitable spot to prepare for the descent. Ski down the eastern slope, following a visible line from the summit. Soon, you will reconnect with the ascent path, which leads back to Vršič.
